Healing Garden: Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Workshop

The garden’s healing hours are focused around promoting physical, mental, and emotional health all within the garden setting. We will learn about plant medicine, have storytelling workshops, practice yoga, meditate, and much more.

This will be a special session taught by our friend Vashti. No registration is required, it is free, and will last for 90 minutes. This experience will be held outside, so bring a water bottle, a comfortable chair, and an open mind.

Do you find yourself ruminating, caught in habitual thought loops? Mindfulness can help us get

out of our own heads, be more present in our bodies and not be so consumed by thoughts.

Is your level of reactivity higher than you would like? Mindfulness can help us learn to relate to

small irritations and greater challenges in new ways and with less reactivity.

Some other potential benefits of mindfulness and meditation practice include:

• Increased ability to deal with both short and long-term stress

• decreases in both physical and physiological symptoms

• a strong sense of relaxation

• reduction in pain

• increased ability to deal with chronic pain

Within this workshop, you will have the opportunity to:
