Come join the Peaceful Belly Café team as our Tasting Room Manager, where every day offers the chance to work on a beautiful sustainable farm and help bring our farm-to-table mission to life. In this role, you'll be at the heart of our café, leading a passionate team, creating a warm and welcoming environment for guests, and ensuring top-notch service in our charming tasting room. Your responsibilities will include managing staff, training, scheduling, and maintaining high standards of customer service, cleanliness, and workplace harmony.
You’ll also get to flex your creativity, helping us with event planning, managing social media, and collaborating with our kitchen team on exciting seasonal menus and catering for special events. With plenty of opportunity for hands-on work, you'll oversee everything from stocking and ordering to curating our online presence and managing reservations. Responsibilities
Managing staff in the tasting room
Training, hiring, write-ups, setting schedules
Maintain consistent expectations of customer service, cleanliness, and workplace conduct
Provide quarterly employee reviews
Promptly respond to employee’s customer concerns/ complaints to resolve any issues
Facilitate a compassionate, kind, and respectful social dynamic between staff and guests
Coach staff on up-sell techniques to increase individual sales
Ensure staff have a clear understanding of food and drink items, as well as farm operations and events
Maintain professional restaurant image, including proper uniforms and appearance standards
Answer emails/ coinciding with Lizzie from peacefulbellytastingroom
Scheduling, a written schedule and through the workforce
Tasting room Duties
Maintain the cleanliness of the tasting room, bathrooms, cleaning closet
Print menus get menu from Lizzie
Maintenance of cash drawer and cash needs
Syrups
Specialty cider drinks
Trifold information
Table tent
Coloring pages and colored pencils
Chalkboard updated
Help with decorating
Help with daily flower design
The little shopping area is stocked, dusted and functional
Lizzie and you will split tips together
Working with kitchen
Helping with catering events, creating fun drinks, and managing the making of nonalcoholic drinks
Expo food and ensure plates are consistent
Help determine prices using invoices and previous prices
Provide deep cleaning tasks during slow times in the absence of kitchen lead
Investigate and resolve complaints concerning food quality and service
Being mommy of the tasting room
Make sure it is clean and well-stocked
Create and enforce weekly deep cleaning checklist
Ensure common spaces are being cleaned weekly by delegating shared responsibilities to the kitchen, FOH, and farm stand
Respond to google reviews, square reviews, yelp, reveiws
Stocking, ordering, and shopping
Wine, kombucha, beer, totes, tea, coffee
Equipment for service i.e. glasses, pitchers, presses, to-go items, etc.
Provide shopping list to Lizzie Sunday night as closing task
Manage tasting room online and social media
Updating events, and updating social media with Lizzie. You will both be running social media and marketing
Navigate Canva to create PSAs and advertising
Create the email newsletter covering café, cider, farm store, events, etc. bi-weekly. Import new contacts into Mail Chimp (see newsletter instructions in Google Drive)
Newsletter signs up added weekly
Update online menu daily
Configure Open Table settings and manage the account, to include confirming and reserving all large parties (+8), special hours of operation, and guest data collection
Manage the Tasting Room email and voicemails
Working closely with Farm Stand
Ordering coffee and kombucha cans
Provide tasks and responsibilities in the absence of Josie
Problem solve register and POS issues, and customer questions/ complaints
Helping with ordering products
Manage events and catering
Work directly with Josie to decorate tasting room according to season
Work with Josie and Lizzie to create events, start to finish, including vendors, ordering, staffing, day-of operations, invoices, and promotions
help with TR art installations, chalkboard messages, and other creative ways to transport visitors
Work with Lizzie, Josie and Lexa on upcoming events and menu items. Talk about what catering dishes and cutlery will be needed for the event.

Job Overview: We are seeking a passionate and versatile All-Around Cook to join our small but dedicated team. As an integral part of our café, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of dishes, ensuring they meet our quality standards, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. This position requires someone who can handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, adapt to seasonal changes, and work closely with our small team.
Key Responsibilities:Food Preparation & Cooking:
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes using fresh, local ingredients.
Ensure that all dishes are prepared in accordance with the café’s recipes and quality standards.
Assist in recipe development, especially incorporating seasonal ingredients from the farm.
Menu Planning & Ingredient Management:
Work with the café manager to develop seasonal menus that reflect the availability of farm-grown produce.
Participate in inventory management, including ordering and storing ingredients to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked.
Help maintain relationships with local vendors for non-farm ingredients.
Cleanliness & Organization:
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
Follow proper food storage procedures to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
Sanitize kitchen equipment and surfaces regularly, ensuring a safe and hygienic workspace.
Team Collaboration:
Work alongside other kitchen staff, servers, and management to ensure smooth café operations.
Help train and mentor junior kitchen staff, if applicable.
Farm-to-Table Focus:
Embrace and promote the farm-to-table philosophy by ensuring dishes highlight the farm’s produce and sustainability practices.
Assist in planning farm-to-café events or special dishes based on the harvest season.
Qualifications:
Experience in a professional kitchen (restaurant, café, catering, etc.)
Ability to prepare a wide range of dishes
Familiarity with food safety standards and health regulations.
Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a busy kitchen environment.
Passion for cooking with fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team.
Flexibility to adapt to changing menu items and seasonal ingredients.
A positive attitude and a genuine interest in supporting a farm-to-table ethos.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to safely handle kitchen equipment, including knives, stoves, ovens, and other culinary tools.

Culinary training or formal education.
