Mission of the Community Jardín

We honor and foster collaboration with nature by creating a nourishing community garden.  We will offer classes and experiences, in English and Spanish, at no cost that will cultivate joy and empower participants to grow in resilience together.

Community Jardín

Please help us start a new Community Garden on the farm. For many years, before we moved our farm to its new home, we offered an amazing gardening class and we are now ready to offer this class again and so much more. We need your financial support to offer this garden at no cost to our community. Please read below to find out more.

Grow with us

Our beautiful Treasure Valley is in need of a space, in nature where people of all races, ages, financial means, spiritual beliefs, and gender identifications feel welcome and empowered to come and put their hands in rich soil and learn how to collectively plant, tend, grow, cook and nourish each other.  Peaceful Belly Farm has that space, and we are so blessed to have the facilities, knowledge, and resources to build a larger table and help tear down walls.

We will create a Community Garden that will act as a hub on our farm to welcome and connect the community with a vision of nourishment, resilience, creativity, and collective effort.  The community will be offered access to weekly ecology classes, experiences, school field trips, cooking classes, and classes on growing food at no cost. They will be offered in both English and Spanish. The garden will be a growing and living food bank that provides food for community meals, and the surplus will go to those experiencing food insecurity in the valley. The garden is now open to the public for self-guided tours Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 12-5
